Brand and Website Design for an Organic, Sustainable Wine Brand

The Client

*Avila Wines is a fictional company that we designed after being inspired by a two-week trip to Portugal. We wanted to showcase our design creativity when applied to a sustainable wine brand.

Avila Wines is an established vineyard east of Lisbon, Portugal. They utilize sustainable and organic farming practices.

The Challenge

Founded in the 1960’s but recently taken over by the founder’s granddaughter, they’re looking to make their wine more appealing to a younger audience and reach the global travelers who are visiting Portugal.

The Results

Leaning into the earthy yet vibrant color palette of Lisbon, including a mellow yellow and mossy green, we started to bring this concept to life. The logo incorporates the swallow as a symbol and brand mark. Swallows are very common in Portugal and speak to the travel-loving nature of our target audience. We integrated the brand mark into an organic-feeling yet playful brand pattern and label design.
